SCHOOLS & YOUTH GROUPS
HOW TO HELP

SCHOOLS & YOUTH GROUPS

Our service projects benefit Native communities and are best suited for middle and high school students - but from time to time, we have projects for students as young as third grade. Check out the options below and connect with us to learn more!
Ways to get involved:
  • Host a food and supply drive at your school! We distribute regular deliveries of food and supplies to families across the Pine Ridge reservation, and it's important to keep our shelves stocked year-round!  Check out the list of items we collect here and connect with us to get a barrel or two set up at your school or organization!
  • Bring your class or group on a Volunteer Trip to one of the Native reservations we serve to engage in community service, education and a multi-cultural exchange.
  • Host a fundraiser at your school or organization.  Schools have access to so many fundraisers, from bake sales to raffles at events - so fire up your community and help them get engaged in a cause they can feel good about!  We'll provide the materials, please reach out for more information!
  • Work with your students to launch a peer to peer fundraiser!  It's easy, feels good to all involved and is a great way to gain skills around networking and nonprofit fundraising! Learn more HERE!
  • Work with us at our hub in Lafayette to help pack food boxes, plant gardens, cut firewood, care for the Tipi Raisers horse herd and more!  Contact us to arrange a field trip.
  • Host a Food Drive at your school. Reach out to us to learn more and pick up a barrel and materials to hold your school's Tipi Raiser's food drive!
