OUR MISSION: Through a variety of collaborative and multicultural projects, we strive to alleviate conditions of poverty, honor Indigenous wisdom, reconcile our shared history with the Peoples of the First Nations and empower youth with the leadership skills needed to affect social change in their communities.

WHAT MAKES THE TIPI RAISERS UNIQUE?
Whether we are providing employment, housing repairs, travel opportunities or humanitarian aid – we strive to center the Indigenous perspective and to execute our work in accordance with the desires of the communities we operate in.
Our volunteer service groups work alongside the Lakota People on Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, South Dakota to ease conditions of poverty, ride horses together, engage in reconciliation dialogue and learn about one another’s cultures. Our Lakota friends travel to Colorado – and nationally – with the Tipi Raisers to share their wisdom and traditions at schools and organizations. Additionally, we facilitate the Gen7 Youth Leadership program to provide social/emotional support, build cultural bridges among the younger generations and to empower and activate the youth around the social change they wish to see in their communities.
