BRIDGING THE GAP IN SNAP BENEFITS ON PINE RIDGE INDIAN RESERVATION

Can you imagine wondering where your next meal will come from? One hundred percent of the families on Pine Ridge to whom we provide regular distributions of food rely on the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). As with so many of the services we provide, we fill the gaps left behind by a government that fails to take care of its people. And we couldn't do it without you!

We are calling on our amazing Tipi Raisers community - once again - to rally with us; enabling the mobilization of extra deliveries of much needed food for the duration of this gap in SNAP benefits.

HELP GATHER ITEMS LISTED BELOW*:

Thank you for supporting our efforts to bridge the gap in SNAP benefits on Pine Ridge! We are only accepting items listed on the flyer below*. Please bring any collections to our Hub at 9849 Isabelle Road, Lafayette, CO 80516. They can be dropped off inside the door of the one story, gray building just to your left as you drive in over the bridge. If you are bringing perishable items please pack them in ice and coolers that you are also ok not getting back.

*NOTE:  For a variety of reasons ranging from organizational bandwidth to cultural sensitivities, we only accept the items explicitly listed on this website or via Tipi Raiser's communications. ​Host a Food and Supply Drive to Bridge the Gap in SNAP Benefits

​Whether you place one of our barrels in your place of worship, school or front porch, it's easy to host a food and supply drive in your community.

​If you are in the Colorado front range area and wish to host  your own food and supply drive, please reach out and let us know! We can provide you with collection barrels, flyers and electronic communications to make your drive a success! These drives are great for individual families, schools or organizations!
