General Information about the event

Support the Summit & Ride!

Volunteers are an integral part of our community and critical to ensuring a safe journey for the riders and a smooth overall Summit. Volunteers may pick a time that works best for them to support the event and are also welcome to camp with us in our Tipi Village in Sedalia, CO. Though the event is July 16 - 19, volunteers are needed on July 15 - 20  to help not only with the activities during the summit but also with set up and take down on the days just prior to and following the event.

Please fill out the form at the link below if any of these opportunities are of interest.

There are a number of ways to join the Tipi Raiser's community in support of the Summit:

  • Camp set up and take down
  • Delivering prepared meals
  • Cooking
  • Cleaning
  • Shopping
  • Following behind the riders in support vehicles to provide water, rest, food, etc.
  • Horse care
  • Errand runners
Tipi Raisers provides all meals, horses, tack and camp gear (if needed) for volunteers who join us!

Please also fill out the form below if you are interested in supporting with event organizing, including finding sponsors, promoting the event and a variety of logistics!

I'm interested in being A Summit & Ride Volunteer!

Please consider making a Donation! In addition to raising awareness around conditions in Native communities, sharing Indigenous wisdom and advancing reconciliation, revenue generated through this event supports the following Tipi Raiser's initiatives:
  • Providing scholarships for Native and non-Native youth to participate in Gen7 gatherings throughout the year; visiting each other's communities, learning about one another and gaining interpersonal and leadership skills to impact change in their communities.
  • Providing employment and job training for Tribal members in positions ranging from labor, driving and programming.
  • Providing firewood, food and necessary supplies throughout the year to families in the Native communities we serve.
  • Facilitating events like the Summit & Ride in which Indigenous perspectives on historical events and current conditions are shared and common understanding is gained.
