Volunteer Service Trips are listed annually on the Tipi Raiser's calendar. Service trips may take place at our base camp in Sedalia, CO or in several Native communities in the region including Pine Ridge in S.D., Hopi in AZ and Navajo in AZ and NM. Groups or individuals can join - as space allows. Registration is on a first come, first served basis. Service trips typically range from 4 -7 days, depending on the location. These trips are almost solely focused on service projects with little opportunity for recreational activities.
Open and customized volunteer service trips are free, though we do ask that volunteers give back in some way that is meaningful to them- this could be through spreading the word and fundraising within their community (we encourage volunteers to set a goal of $500 for open trips and $1,000 for customized trips), adopting a project to follow through with after the trip or making a donation to Tipi Raisers.
