In addition to our year-round efforts to collect the food and supplies listed HERE, throughout April we are also requesting any of the building materials listed here for our reservation service projects. Please consider bringing something to contribute!
For the May gathering, Lakota youth will be visiting from Pine Ridge to talk about the historical and present-day significance of the Tatanka (Buffalo) to their culture, and how the Tipi Raisers community can follow the lead of the Seventh Generation in efforts to revitalize buffalo populations.
On reservation service trips we connect and contribute. We find meaning through service and dialogue. We learn about the Indigenous cultures and People we work alongside.
May 25 - 30: Hopi & Navajo Nations, AZ - This trip is full. We are taking names for a waitlist - reach out to Mackenzie if you wish to be included on that.
This ongoing class is offered September through May on Zoom and runs every other Sunday from 10:00 am - Noon MT. To learn more and to register click here. Note: There is no class during the summer months of June - August.
