Volunteer Service Trips are available to individuals, families or groups on a first-come, first-served basis. There are 30 spots available on each trip. While service is the top priority on these trips, we strive to incorporate a combination of community building, cultural education, reconciliation dialogues and recreation on each trip. Sign up soon as Volunteer Service Trips tend to fill up fast! *Dates and locations are subject to change for a variety of unforeseen circumstances. Projects include repairing homes in need of windows, doors or handicap ramps, etc., or cutting and distributing firewood, assembling and delivering requested donations or food and supply boxes. Other service opportunities typically arise organically during the trip. Projects are based on the skill level and interests of the volunteers. Many of these projects are done cooperatively with Tribal members.
PLEASE NOTE:
In accordance with the easing of tribal Covid-19 restrictions and continued downward trends in CDC-reported COVID-19 cases nationwide, we have made the decision to lift our prior requirement for proof of vaccination or negative COVID-19 test results ahead of volunteer trips.
We continue to practice hand-washing and proper sanitizing protocols on trips, and ask that individuals experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 directly prior to or during a trip to quarantine themselves until the appropriate isolation time per CDC-guidelines has elapsed. |
