Chances are if you're reading this, you have connected with our work and have an interest in spreading the word to keep it going! Or perhaps you are about to go on - or have recently returned from - a service trip in one of the Native communities we serve. Whatever the reason, we are grateful that you are here to help spread the word with your personal and professional networks to interest them in supporting this work!
START A CROWDFUNDING CAMPAIGN
A great - and fun - way to support the Tipi Raisers in advancing our mission is to set up your own Crowdfunding campaign. It's easy and helps the Tipi Raisers reach an ever wider network of people who can come to believe in this work as much as you do!
Just go to this Crowdfunding link and it's super quick and easy to start Fundraising! Here's How:
1. Click on the link, the campaign page (pictured below) will come up. 2. Click the blue "Fundraise" button (see red arrow) found below under the picture of the little girls working together!
3. You'll then be prompted to set your fundraising goal and write a short note. You can copy and paste what we've provided below or write your own appeal:
Hey! Some of you probably know that I've been involved with a nonprofit that serves Native communities called Tipi Raisers. It is an organization that provides year-round, humanitarian aid on Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota as well as hosts volunteer service groups on the Hopi and Navajo Nations in AZ. The Tipi Raisers goes much further than that though! They also provide employment opportunities to the Oglala Lakota people and provide skills training to create greater self-sufficiency for the Tribal members they work with. And across everything they do, they integrate efforts to empower youth, amplify Indigenous wisdom and promote healing and reconciliation between Native and non-Native people.
I invite you to join me in supporting this unique organization. Any amount helps to advance these critically important programs!
Remember, you can use the above as is, or customize it in any way you want to share more about your personal journey with us! It's super easy and you can even create teams!
4. Share the fundraiser via email and social media with your network! Maybe include a meaningful story from your experience with Tipi Raisers to help promote your fundraiser. Did you work on a project that really meant a lot to you? Share what you did and what, if anything, is still needed on the project!
Don't forget to:
Ask your family and friends to join your team or start their own and compete with you!
Create a hashtag when sharing it on social media it with your social media!
Add the link to your signature line- like this: [Your Name] | [Your Phone] | [Your Email] | [Ask me about my FUNDRAISER]!
