Special Events

April 24th: Working with Bison at CSU

We invite you to join us at Colorado State University's Foothills Campus bison facility! On the 24th, you'll work with the animals as they receive tags and vaccinations, and will learn more about how CSU partners are helping move our Bison Rehoming Project forward on the Pine Ridge Reservation. May 9th: Meet the Herd at The Tipi Raisers Hub

Come to our Lafayette, CO Hub to meet our herd of 12 horses! Connect with the volunteers who work with the herd every week and learn more about how these four-legged beings are integral to our year-round work in Native communities. Engagement with the herd begins at 10am at the corral on site at our Hub, and will end at 2pm. All are invited to attend!

May 16th: Open House at The Hub

Join our extended community for an open house day of service and education at our Lafayette, CO Hub! See progress on the first tiny home for reservation families at our workshop, hear from tribal members, and learn more about the impact that begins at the Hub and ripples out to Native communities. Activities begin at 10am and will conclude at 3pm. More details to be shared soon. All are welcome!

On reservation service trips we connect and contribute; we find meaning through service and dialogue and we learn about the Indigenous cultures and People we work alongside.

Beyond our scheduled Volunteer Service Trips, our outreach efforts on the reservations occur throughout the year. Tipi Raisers volunteers may visit the reservations we serve for various purposes. Whether it's transporting our Native friends, delivering firewood or food, preparing the land for the bison, or participating in a reconciliation initiative, there are often opportunities for volunteer outreach within Native communities. These outreach activities are coordinated by us and may or may not include some of our team members on the trip. Reach out if you would like to get involved!
